Amazing and Wonderful

I’m going to take some time to brag about my employer. Life Care Centers of America is a company of over 200 Skilled Nursing Facilities. I work at the one in Banner Elk, NC, USA. You can find them on the web at http://lcca.com/.

That’s not the part I want to brag about though. I want to brag about their mission to serve and the fact that you can openly be a Christian. You can openly pray. You can say, “Bless you” “Have a blessed day” “I’m praying for you” and with the resident’s (patient’s) permission, you can even pray with them – aloud or silently. The management teams of each facility are encouraged to open their management meeting with a devotion and/or prayer. Just imagine a place that a Christian can feel truly at home, but a person of another faith or no faith is just as welcome. We can truly follow the principals that the United States of America were founded on – freedom of speech and freedom of religion. It’s truly a joy to go to work, even though my job is immensely complex and stressful, I still love my job and the amazing people I work with and the wonderful company I work for.

I spent 2 days at the LCCA Corporate Offices in Cleveland, TN earlier this week. It was a meeting for all the Business Office Managers in our division. We opened both days with devotion and prayer. Our meals were opened in prayer and we had time for great fellowship and discussions. The Spirit of God is in this company, its leadership and each individual Business Office Manager. I’m going to do everything in my power to stick with this company until I can’t work anymore and I’m forced to retire.

No, I didn’t get paid for writing this. Who knows, I might even get in trouble for writing this without permission, but it’s all true. What a great company. I am truly blessed and I believe with all my heart that God himself put me in this position and like Colossians 3:23, “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men”. I will serve my Lord in everything I do and if in service to my Lord I excel and succeed for my employer that’ll be a fortuitous secondary outcome.

Serve the Lord in everything you do and you can never go wrong, even in an environment of persecution, because our Lord will always care for us and bless us whether it’s in this world or the next. Amen!
