“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.” (Romans 15:13)
Hope… We only have hope because God made it possible to be free of sin. Sin is slavery. The only escape from this slavery is repentance and asking Jesus to be your Lord and Savior, because then you will be free from the bondage of sin. With Jesus as Lord of your life you will still be able to sin, but you will not want to, thus you’re truly free, free to decide, free to disregard your sin nature, free to trust the leadership of the Holy Spirit. Free.
With freedom from sin you can have true joy (a feeling of established contentment, confidence and hope). Joy is not happiness, but happiness can be a direct result of joy. The only way to have true joy is to be born again and have the peace of believing Jesus is and will always be your Lord and Savior, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
This old world is a sin filled, hurried and worried place. I pray that all of you can experience joy and the hope it brings.
