Christianity and the USPS

Since joining the United States Postal Service, I’ve been angry and dejected. It’s a much more difficult job than you might imagine. I’m a rural carrier, so I frequently deal with dogs, weather, heavy packages, dirty packages, gravel roads full of ruts and steep embankments, and my own frustration. I’m used to being pretty good at just about anything I try, but I’m not good at this. I’ll improve, and I’ve obligated myself to persevere, but thus far, I’m not fond of the job.

They work you six days a week, and you often have nine to thirteen-hour days. So, until I get accustomed to this regimen, I’ll only be writing my devotional blogs intermittently. Hopefully, I can resume my weekly blogs soon. Pray for me! I’m struggling.

I have it on good authority that a preacher employed by the USPS once said, “It’s enough to make a preacher cuss!”

I’m struggling. Please pray for me!

Colossians 3:23-24 (KJV)

"And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ."
