There is nothing new under the sun. God, through Solomon, said in Ecclesiastes 1:9, “The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.”[1] The war on Christianity has been waged since its inception. The things people, Satan, and his demons have been doing to try to stop Christianity are always the same but packaged differently. Christians are being targeted from every direction, from governments, religions, misinformation, minimalizing and marginalizing, reinterpretation of scripture, and deception.
This New World Order that everyone is talking about does not include Christians. We are considered a hindrance to their demonic progress. This hindrance is just one of the reasons that I’m a pre-millennial rapture believer because Christians must be removed before the antichrist kingdom can manifest. So, let’s look at the war on Christianity to understand better what’s happening in this world.
Government War on Christianity
“In 1993, Christians faced high to extreme levels of persecution in 40 countries. This number has nearly doubled to 76 countries in 2023. In the top 50 alone, 312 million Christians now face very high or extreme levels of persecution. Worldwide, 1 in 7 Christians now experience at least ‘high’ levels of persecution or discrimination, with 1 in 5 in Africa, 2 out of 5 in Asia, and 1 in 15 in Latin America. Religiously motivated killings in Nigeria have risen from 4,650 last year to 5,014. Hundreds of thousands more have been forced into internal displacement or have become refugees. Chinese officials have closed almost 7,000 churches over the prior two years. And the drop of Afghanistan from No. 1 last year to No. 9 this year ‘offers little cheer’ because it’s driven by how most Afghan Christians ‘went deep into hiding or fled overseas’ after the Taliban’s takeover. 360 million Christians live in nations with high levels of persecution or discrimination.”[2]
These incidents are only the known persecution, murders, and displacements, so the numbers are almost certainly worse. The following is a map of the countries with the most persecution. But these are only the most egregious examples of persecution. There is persecution everywhere Christianity exists. Yes, even the United States of America, Canada, Europe, South Africa, and Australia. In these regions, the persecution is subtle to moderate, including banning Christian activities in school, disallowing prayer in schools, government offices, and public places, and locking up preachers for preaching what the Bible says. This persecution will escalate as time passes until the rapture of the church. Then, without the moral compass of Christianity, the world will fall into unbridled debauchery and evil – a perfect environment for the antichrist kingdom.
Religious War on Christianity
The plight of Christians in many countries is driven by other religions supported by their central government. The most aggressive persecution is from Islam, Buddhism, and Hinduism, but other religious sects also actively persecute Christians. There have been reports in the USA of witches (Wicca) and Satanists infiltrating churches to sow seeds of contention between Christians. They try to get the members to quit going to that church until the church membership is so weak that they cannot keep their doors open and temporarily or permanently close the church. This betrayal is insidious persecution but never the less persecution.
In 2021, there were 205 religious-motivated hate crimes against US Christians. That is nothing compared to other countries, but according to its Constitution, the US is supposed to provide religious freedom for all religions. In other countries, if you refuse to convert from Christianity to another religion, you could be beaten, displaced, raped, and murdered. Open debate should be welcomed if these religions are genuinely superior to Christianity. But, most of these religious zealots fear the superiority of Christianity and refuse to listen to its merits. Many religious zealots would instead force you to convert to their religion or murder you rather than leave you in peace.
Mis-information War on Christianity
Claiming the Bible contains hate speech is yet another persecution. The Bible is a love letter to humanity, without hatred of anyone. The only hatred in the Bible concerns sin. The sins it mentions are the same sins it said from the beginning. The abhorrence of these sins and commandments to discontinue these sins are in the best interest of humanity. Everyone would agree that “You shall not murder” is a good commandment. The evils that people want to continue doing without repentance or remorse cause feelings of hate. People like the sins that make them feel good (drunkenness, fornication, adultery, homosexuality, crossdressing), so preaching against these “feel-good sins” is considered hate speech.
Sins of convenience are also prevalent (theft, abortion). People feel entitled to “the good life,” so they steal things from stores and other people to satisfy their evil desires. Women murder their children through abortion to make their lives easier. They don’t want the burden of a child, so they kill it for the sake of convenience. But if a Christian says that abortion is murder and, therefore, a sin, they are immediately called a hater of women. It’s not hate speech; it’s love speech because it shares God’s message that killing anyone, including babies, in the womb is not okay.
Some of the most egregious misinformation comes from news broadcasts, movies, TV shows, politicians, and printed articles. These sources almost always misquote and misrepresent the Bible. People who have never read the Bible provide Bible commentary and question the Bible. Their attempts yield half-truths and lies about what the Bible says. Some knowingly misrepresent Biblical principles in an evil attempt to draw people away from Christianity. Others dismiss Christianity altogether. I recently watched a science fiction show that suggested that people outgrow their need for religion due to the superiority of science. This premise is pure nonsense because science changes on an almost daily basis. Two days ago, I watched a video where a physician said that 50 percent of what a doctor learns in medical school will be considered incorrect when he or she retires from practice. That’s why continuing education is a requirement for every doctor and medical professional. You cannot put your trust in science!
Minimalizing and Marginalizing, Reinterpretation of Scripture, and Deception
Christianity is even being attacked from within through minimalizing and marginalizing the Word of God, reinterpretation of scripture, and deception. The world has many false preachers, evangelists, bishops, elders, and so-called “apostles.” First, there were only 14 apostles, and Judas was a false apostle who betrayed Jesus, whom Matthias replaced, as documented in Acts 1:12-26. This replacement brought the number back to 12. The 13th Apostle was Paul. To be an Apostle, Jesus Himself must have taught you. Paul became an apostle about 33AD after a vision of the resurrected Jesus, who commissioned him to be the Apostle to the Gentiles. So, 12 Apostles for the Jews and one Apostle for the Gentiles who were all taught directly by Jesus Himself. Then, one false apostle, Judas, died a horrible death and is now burning in an eternal hell, forever separated from God. So, anyone claiming to be an apostle imparts an undeserved and false self-proclaimed title upon themselves.
Apostate preachers and evangelists are also spreading false information by misinterpreting, minimalizing, and marginalizing scripture. They make the scriptures say what people want to hear by using scripture out of context. Context and proper interpretation are essential for preaching the truth. Unfortunately, these apostate (fallen away from sound doctrine) preachers are everywhere - literally, a global infestation of apostate pontificators.
They preach prosperity, health, and wealth, which is an out-of-context misinterpretation of scripture. They contradict the reality of our thrice Holy God, the Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, as one God in three persons. They push forward this false notion of proclaiming all Christians “little gods,” which is nonsense and blasphemous (irreverent or reproachful towards God).
Apostate preachers and evangelists uphold an unbiblical interpretation of speaking in tongues. They ignore some sins and reject others that are socially acceptable to secularists. They reject Sola Scriptura (the Bible alone) and instead rely on feelings, visions, dreams, flights of fancy, and bald-faced lies. The Bible is the only reliable source for our belief system and makes knowing the truth about everything possible. Either directly or indirectly, the Bible can answer any question that humanity can ask. We must hold steadfast to Sola Scriptura.
Apostate pontificators quote 1 Chronicles 16:22 out of context, “Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.”[3] They claim to be Hebrew prophets who were anointed by other Hebrew prophets as ordered by God. First, they are not Hebrews! Second, it takes a genuinely narcissistic, arrogant human being to self-proclaim themselves a prophet or apostle of God. On the other hand, if a pastor humbly calls upon God to anoint his message because they want God’s perfect and Holy Word to be proclaimed, that is acceptable.
War on Christianity Conclusion
Christianity is being attacked from everywhere and in multiple ways. My information is not an exhaustive list of egregious offenses against Christianity. This list is just the tip of a much larger iceberg. So, why even be a Christian? Because it is the only way to God, heaven, perfect peace with a perfect body and mind, promised to all who will do this one thing. You must accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and give yourself to Him as your Lord. He is your Lord anyway because in the end, concerning Jesus, “…every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.” Romans 14:10-12. So, giving yourself to Him as your Lord, seeking His will and not your own, is an act of free will. He doesn’t want anyone coming to him by coercion or force.
So, Oprah, Helena Blavatsky, Carl Jung, and their fellow esoteric thinkers, modern paganists, and New Age believers are wrong! All religions that are not Biblical Christian denominations are wrong! There is only one way to heaven – only one way to God, and it’s through Jesus Christ. John 14:6 says, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”[4] Point blank and in context, Jesus is the only way. Jesus, Yeshua, YHWH, is the only way to heaven, so don’t hesitate. Praise His Holy name – Jesus! Accept Him now because we are not guaranteed another moment. You must act now!!
Will you be persecuted? Probably, but it will all be worth it in the end when you see Jesus and see heaven and start your eternity in a perfect body with a perfect mind. It will be glorious!!!
