There is Only One Jesus

When I say, there is only one Jesus, I mean the Jesus clearly defined within the pages of the Old and New Testaments of the Protestant 66-book Bible. If you read the Catholic Bible or the Ethiopian Bible, you can come to the same conclusion as the Protestant Bible if you disqualify the apocrypha. Many define Jesus however they like. They create their own Jesus, or their denomination or religious sect designs their own Jesus. I will elaborate on this further in the body of this article. My point is that there is only one Jesus, and if you are not worshiping Him, the real Jesus, you will not see heaven. So, let's look a little deeper.
The Biblical Jesus
So first, we must define Jesus. Jesus is the second person of the Trinity, the Son of God, fully God and fully man simultaneously. Along with the Father and Spirit, Jesus is the creator of everything that ever was or will be and is self-existent as the only Triune God. He is a strong, masculine man who gets righteously angry, indulges in physical violence when appropriate, loves everyone, but doesn't tolerate the sin of anyone. Jesus said, "If ye love me, keep my commandments" in John 14:15 KJV. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" in John 14:6, which excludes getting to God the Father or heaven in any other way except through grace by your faith in Christ alone for your salvation. If you don't have the right Jesus, you don't know Jesus. According to the Bible, there is only one Jesus.

Protestants and Evangelical Made-up Jesus
Many people who call themselves Christians, both Protestant and Evangelical, selectively edit the Bible to eliminate the parts that offend them and hence must make up their own Jesus. Usually, an effeminate, excessively tolerant, Buddha-like, peaceful non-combatant, who allows any and every sin in the name of "love." That is not the Jesus of the Bible! Jesus would not fly a pride flag. Jesus would not "co-exist" with false religions. Jesus would not tolerate any form of sexual sin that is clearly defined in scripture. Jesus would not condone the murder of children in the womb. I could go on, but the point is that you must not redefine Jesus according to your own proclivities, wishes, or dreams. As Protestants and evangelicals, we have the Bible – the 66 books of canonized scripture, so we have absolutely no excuse to make up a Jesus of our own design. We must read and understand the Bible and worship the Jesus clearly defined in it.
The Mormon Jesus from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
The Mormons define Jesus as the firstborn spirit child of the god of this world and his goddess wife. They believe Jesus is a created being and that his atonement, or death on the cross, makes it possible for those who believe in him to be forgiven of sin if they repent of those sins "after all we can do." So, Jesus alone does not save; first your works, then the atonement of Christ. In the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Jesus is the first created being and had nothing to do with creation. He is not equal to God but just one of billions of offspring - "poor Mrs. God." This Jesus promotes works first, then repentance, which might lead to salvation. If you reach heaven, you get your own planet that you develop by your will and a wife to produce spirit babies for the beings you create in your image. This fantasy is not what the Bible says, and this Jesus is not the Jesus of the Bible.
The Jehovah's Witness Jesus
According to the Jehovah's Witness church, Jesus was a created being. Specifically, Michael the Archangel was sent to earth and named Jesus by Joseph and Mary. The Jehovah's Witnesses believe that Jesus was hung on a stake or pike, not a cross, and when he returned after three days in the grave, he came back as a spirit, not a transfigured man. This flight of fancy clearly contradicts the Bible, which states Jesus was God the Son, the Son of Man, crucified on a cross and returned to life in a transfigured body, and was able to touch, eat, and drink with, cook and engage in meals, teach, and everything else a human can do. As well as doing things humans can't do, like appearing and disappearing, walking through walls, and ascending into heaven. The Jehovah's Witness version of Jesus is not the Jesus of scripture and did not die or exist as defined by Biblical scripture.
The Jesus of Islam: They Call Him "Isa"
According to Islam, Jesus is a revered prophet and messenger of God. They believe he was only a highly favored human. They reject that he is the Son of God, and they also reject the Trinity of Father, Son, and Spirit as one God in three persons. They believe he was born of a virgin, Maryam, and a man, apparently Joseph, a messenger of God. They think he was not crucified, but someone else, Judas Iscariot, was crucified in his place, and Jesus was carried off to heaven like Elijah. Unfortunately, this means Judas Iscariot, the betrayer of Christ, died on the cross as our redeemer, which cannot be true, as clearly revealed by the Bible. Islam is truly Satanic in its doctrine and theology. The Jesus of Islam is not the Jesus of the Bible.
The Catholic Jesus is the Jesus of the Bible
Please don't get me wrong, the Catholic Church does not get the doctrine of salvation right, but the Catholic Jesus is the Jesus of the Bible. The Catholics add things. Some add Mary as a co-redemptrix. Others add works and sacraments to salvation. But they believe in the Trinity, Jesus is the Son of God, and God the Son. They believe Jesus was born of the virgin Mary, and that Jesus died from crucifixion, was buried for three days, rose bodily on the third day, and ascended to heaven 40 days after His death and resurrection. So, they believe in the right Jesus, and many believe that you are redeemed, justified, and sanctified by grace through faith alone in Christ alone for their salvation. Other Catholics believe salvation comes through sacraments and belief, which is like the Protestant belief that you first believe by faith alone. Then the works follow because of the change or rebirth that comes with your salvation. So, I disagree with Catholicism as it pertains to salvation, but, in my opinion, many Catholics worship the same Jesus as Protestants.
Other Religions, Cults, and Sects Version of Jesus
The Hindu religion believes Jesus is a wise teacher, a divine figure, an avatar of God, a moral man, or a teacher of non-violence. Jesus' teachings on love and compassion resonate with Hindu philosophies, aligning with values such as empathy, forgiveness, and humility. Some Hindus even see Jesus as a great yogi, transcending human limitations through deep meditation and divine love. This belief is another watered-down Jesus that is not God the Son and is nothing but peace and love – basically, un-Biblical nonsense.
Buddhists often imagine Jesus through the lens of his teachings and actions, which align with Buddhist principles of compassion, love, and the path to enlightenment. Again, another effeminate watered-down version of Jesus.
Atheists and Agnostics either believe Jesus never existed (without regard to the evidence) or think he was a good moral teacher and an aspiration. They often agree that people should be like Jesus, but fail to accept His free gift of salvation, usually because they are comfortable being their own god.
Conclusion: There is Only One Jesus
If you are a "Christian," the only conclusion is that there is only one Jesus, and you are not Him, and you must seek Him in the Bible without editing or deleting passages that you don't like. The true Jesus is clearly defined in both the Old and New Testaments. In the Old Testament, as messianic prophecies; in the New Testament, as testimony and teaching from Christ, or as eyewitness testimony from Apostles and disciples. We must serve and believe in the Jesus clearly defined through scripture, because if you don't have the right Jesus, you don't have salvation. Only the Biblical Jesus will provide salvation and a personal relationship with God.
