“And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.” (2 Timothy 2:24-26)
I truly strive to teach as gentle as I can. I don’t always succeed though. I need to pray more about that. I love to teach and I love God’s Word, so when people disregard, reject or insult God’s Word, on occasion I can be a bit blunt. Please remember though that God’s Word has no gray areas. It’s black or white, yes or no, sin is sin and you need to know God’s Word to tell the difference. The only way to truly know God is to read His Word, the Bible. The last statistics I heard stated that less than 30 percent of professing Christians will ever read the entire Bible from cover to cover. That is profoundly sad.
I’m sharing this because most Christians know little or nothing about the end times, because they haven’t read the Bible or studied prophesy. Most Christians think that when you die you go to Heaven and that’s your final destination. Sorry, but you’re wrong, so I’m going to share with you a very brief outline; a fragment of what will occur in the end times.
Prophesies will be fulfilled. All the Biblical prophesies that need to come to pass before Christ’s return have already come true.
The Earth will experience a drastic increase in natural disasters.This is happening currently.
The population of Earth will become increasingly violent and perverse to the point that when they do wrong they will be unable to blush or feel remorse. (1.2 Billion abortions worldwide since 1980, about 450,000 murders annually [not counting the abortions] ).
The world will seek a one world government, currency and religion.Steps are being taken by the U.N. and European Union to that end, right now.
Jesus returns and the church (all born again Christians) will be caught up to meet Jesus in the air.Also known as the Rapture.Many churches will remain full after the rapture.I pray that mine is empty.
Either directly after or soon after the rapture of the church, the anti-christ will take power as a leader that almost everyone loves and trusts.
This is when the first half of the tribulation starts. The first 3.5 years start out okay, but quickly spiral down to hell on Earth.This is followed directly by the second half of the tribulation; hell on Earth, where liberty is destroyed, freedom is abolished and the anti-christ demands to be worshiped as a god in the rebuilt temple in Jerusalem.Starvation, no fresh water to drink, disease, pestilence and constant fear will prevail across the entire planet and more than half of the Earth’s population will die.
After the tribulation, the anti-christ will be cast into the Lake of Fire.Satan will be chained and thrown into the bottomless pit for 1,000 years.
Christ returns with His saints (born again, transfigured, eternal Christians), to reign over all the Earth from Jerusalem for 1,000 years and His saints will take control of all governments and govern the world in accordance with Jesus Christ’s perfect will and leadership.
After the 1,000 year reign of Christ, Satan is released for a short time and he assembles a great army that is easily destroyed by Christ, without one shot fired.
Then God Himself holds court at the Great White Thrown of Judgement and all those that have died without accepting Christ throughout time are called out of their graves to be judged, and all those that are still alive that never accepted Christ will also be judged.God, the only righteous judge, will judge them (they already convicted themselves), and then have each of them cast into the Lake of Fire for eternity.
God will destroy the old Heaven and Earth with fire, and create a new and perfect Heaven and Earth.
God will create a New Jerusalem made of pure gold and it will descend and come to rest on the new Earth.
There, God will live forever with his saints and angles.
This would make a great SiFi movie if it wasn’t true. I pity all those that don’t believe, because the Bible has proven itself true time and again, flawlessly.
I didn’t mention much about Armageddon and the other horrible wars, because there will be 8 of them and they take some explaining. I’m glad I won’t be there. I’ll be with the raptured saints and my Lord.
If you don’t know Christ as your Lord and Savior, you still have time to repent and be born again into the family of God. Just remember, we are not promised another moment, Jesus can return without warning and at any time. Will you be ready?
