Jesus, our God and Savior

“I, even I, am the Lord; and beside me there is no saviour. I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, when there was no strange god among you: therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, that I am God.” Isaiah 43:11-12 KJV

God, speaking through Isaiah, was sharing what He had done for the people of Israel. Then in chapter 43 he reminds them that He is God and there is no other god that can save. God reveals Himself to His people when they put away false gods and follow Him as the only true God. God the Son is our God, Lord and Savior. Christians usually just call Him Jesus.

There are many deceptive religions in our world – looking like Christianity, and sometimes sounding like Christianity, but with strange doctrines that contradict scripture. When I say scripture I refer to the Jewish Law, texts and prophets, and the Bible, which is a direct translated copy of Jewish scripture in the Old Testament and the final revelation of God provided through God (Jesus) to the original Apostles and Paul which we refer to as the New Testament. There are no other scriptures or revelations, so please disregard writings of sinful, fallible men. Men not God wrote the Book of Mormon, the publications of the Watchtower Society, the nonsense of the Quran and many other writings. All of these came from people who were unsatisfied with Christianity, because they were too lazy or too self-centered to study God’s Word and find the truths they disregarded. They did not believe that the Bible was the inspired, inerrant and infallible Word of God, so they chose to create their own god in their own image. What they failed to understand is that we were created by God in His image, not the other way around.

The Bible is the complete revelation of God, the full counsel of God, and God (Jesus) is our only Lord and Savior. If we offer credence to any other “scripture” or “holy book” we are participating in a cult. And, trust me, I know that there are Baptists, Methodists, Presbyterians, Pentecostals, Catholics and Christian churches that are participating in cult-like worship under false teachers that are disregarding scripture in lieu of their own thoughts and ideas. It happens, and if the preacher/teacher is convincing enough, he or she can amass an enormous following. Folks, we need to be hyper vigilant and know what the Bible says, because the only way to protect ourselves from these false prophets is to know what the Bible says.

I teach over and over again – read your Bible, study it, immerse yourselves in it, so that no one can lead you astray.

Jesus is God and our only Lord and Savior.
