Last week I took you on a brief tour of the Millennial Kingdom of Christ. So, I thought proceeding into the next part of human history would be appropriate. After the Millennial Kingdom, Satan and all his demons are released from the bottomless pit. What a strange thing for God to do, you might think. But you would be missing the point. The Lord wants everyone to go to Heaven. The problem is that many choose to reject Him. Not everyone gets to enter Heaven because they choose to serve someone or something other than Jesus Christ. The following will tell you what happens After the Millennial Kingdom and how the tribulation and millennial saints will get to Heaven.
Revelation 20:1-3
“And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.”
After the Millennial Kingdom Satan is Released
Satan has been imprisoned for 1,000 years. But not it’s time for the people of earth to be tested. God sends an angel to release the old devil so that he can once again influence people and nations. This is prophesied in Revelation 20:7-9. It reveals the forces of Gog and Magog again, but this is not the same as the Ezekiel war. This will include many of the same deceived countries. But when they are defeated and destroyed by God, they are burned up by fire from Heaven. No bodies will be left to bury. In the Ezekiel war, it takes 7 months to burry all the bodies so this is positively a different conflict.
Those that follow Satan are the children born during the Millennial Kingdom that refuse to accept Christ as Lord and Savior. Everyone gets a choice, both now and in the future. Those that make poor choices will follow Satan.
Satan’s Supernatural Defeat After the Millennial Kingdom
Satan will collect a force described in scripture as “their number is as the sand of the sea.” But it won’t be enough. Remember, people have been having children and also living much longer lives for 1,000 years. No abortions, no disease or pestilence, no war and with all the shelter, food, and water they could ever need. Just imagine the population explosion. Buy the end of the Millennial Kingdom, there could be upwards of 10 billion people on the planet when Satan is loose. But to spite the vast army Satan quickly rallies to his evil cause, he and they are defeated. Satan is then cast into his permanent prison with the antichrist and false profit. Satan is cast into the Lake of Fire whereas Revelation 20:10 says he, “shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.”
The Second Resurrection After the Millennial Kingdom
The resurrection of everyone that rejected Christ. Some would say this is a third resurrection and others would say the second. This is because there are 3 distinct resurrections. The first at the rapture, the second after the tribulation so the tribulation saints can join the Millennial Kingdom. Then the last is the final resurrection. I’m calling it the second resurrection because the first two resurrections are the resurrections of the righteous. This last resurrection is the resurrection of everyone that has ever died without accepting Christ. But both those that accepted Christ during the Millennial Kingdom. As well as those that rejected Him throughout the history of humanity are resurrected at this time. So, two resurrections. One of the righteous and one of the Millennial Saints and everyone that died without Christ.
The Wheat is Separated from the Chaff
God separates the righteous from those that rejected Christ. The righteous stand before the Judgement Seat of Christ and are judged for their service to Christ. They are awarded crowns for their service. The crowns include the incorruptible crown, crown of rejoicing, crown of life, crown of righteousness, and the crown of glory. Some will earn all and some will earn none, depending on their service while they were alive. But all will enter heaven.
Those that resurrected that never accepted Christ will stand before the Great White Thrown Judgement. So, all those in hell are released for a short time to be judged. During this, Great White Thrown Judgement each person is judged for their sins. The Lambs Book of Life is also read. If their name is not written in the Lamb’s Book of Life (never accepted Christ) they are also cast into the Lake of Fire. This is an eternal place of perpetual torment, pain, thirst, hunger, and loneliness. Then hell is also cast into the Lake of Fire forever, according to Revelation 20:14.
The Old Heaven and Old Earth are Destroyed After the Millennial Kingdom
Since God is pure and holy, he cannot allow any corruption within His Kingdom. Since the earth and universe were cursed when Adam and Eve sinned, the entire universe must also be eliminated. Therefore, God destroys the heavens and the earth with fire to make room for a new creation. In 2 Peter 3:12-13 this destruction is revealed as well as the creation of a new heaven and earth. Isaiah also shares this in Isaiah 65:17 and John in Revelation 21:1. Everything is new and perfect. Then the heavens sort of merge with the earth and God dwells with us and rules from the New Jerusalem on the new earth in the new universe.
The New Jerusalem After the Millennial Kingdom
This new dwelling place is described in Revelation 21-22 and is described in human terms by the Apostle John as revealed to him by God. It will be much more glorious than human words can utter, but its description is wonderful. A city of pure gold with a high wall around it made of precious stones. Streets of pure gold as well as city gates made of single gigantic pearls. Read the discerption yourselves. It’s truly glorious! Read my book “Transfigured to Serve” if you want my in-depth description. I even have a description and diagram of the city walls.
The estimates of the volume of people the 1,500 miles by 1,500 miles, by 1,500 miles structure could hold include an estimate of one hundred thousand billion people. That’s $100,000,000,000,000 people so the new Jerusalem will be huge and that doesn’t include the huge walled-in area around the city. The new earth will be much bigger than our current earth to accommodate this city. That’s also explained in my book “Transfigured to Serve.”
After the Millennial Kingdom
There will be no need for the sun or moon, because the light of God will permeate everywhere. We will live in perfect peace, prosperity, health, and comfort. No sin will be committed. So, joy and happiness will fill every aspect of our lives as we willingly serve God. It will be glorious!
I hope you enjoyed this After the Millennial Kingdom tour. Have a blessed day!
