A Middle East War Looming in the near future will devastate Islam and hence cast the earth into a period of war. This war will probably not gather all countries into a world war. But it will test alliances, cause increased famine, lead to conditions that make pestilence more prevalent, and get a bunch of people killed. I know this is a dark and unpleasant subject but it will happen in accordance with Bible eschatology (the study of End Time Prophecy). The Bible is very clear about this Ezekiel 38 prophesied war. But not all of the players are aligned perfectly yet. Some of the African nations are not quite ready yet but could be with just a few changes in diplomacy, regime, and supplies.
Middle East War Looming Against Israel
I actually believed that we would have already seen this war before 2020 but it hadn’t materialized yet. There are still pieces to put into place before the forces gather together and attack Israel. So, this attack will happen as predicted as Russia, Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Sudan, Ethiopia, Libya, and Algeria attack the tiny country of Israel. Their motivation is twofold. First, they want to plunder the wealth of Israel. Second, is to utterly destroy the Jewish people of Israel. So, in the words of the Islamic nations, “to push them into the sea and destroy them.” Their religious beliefs require it, their greed will spark it, and the Bible affirms it. The only problem is God himself will intervene and destroy the forces and humiliate Islam.
“And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a great company, and a mighty army: And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.”
Israel and God Win in the Middle East War Looming
While in this war God intervenes and the forces of Israel win, this is also only the beginning of the end. This war will either be the beginning of the tribulation or the prelude to the tribulation. But, never the less, it will occur and it will only be the beginning of the End Times.
“And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord God, that my fury shall come up in my face. For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.”
Middle East War Looming but They Kill Each Other
God’s interventions include a huge earthquake that shakes the entire land of Israel and the surrounding area. Then fire and brimstone hailstones also rain down on Israel’s enemies. Finally, the forces of these aligned nations fighting against Israel end up turning against themselves. They end up killing each other at God’s command. That’s what happens when you rebel against the only true God.
“And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord God: every man’s sword shall be against his brother. And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the Lord.”
According to Ezekiel as Inspired by God
This is coming and coming soon. But “soon” could be tomorrow or several months or years from now. The signs are falling together and now we just need to serve our Lord Jesus every day, watch, and wait.
