Many people and religious leaders in North America, Europe, Australia, and beyond have decided that everything with the appearance of supernatural must have a natural explanation. The definition of supernatural is “being beyond or exceeding the powers or laws of nature; miraculous. A supernatural event is one which is not produced according to the ordinary or established laws of natural things.” These people and religious leaders have lost site of the supernatural reality of the God of the Bible – YHWH, pronounced Yahweh in Hebrew and transliterated Jehovah in English. Yahweh is supernatural, beyond the natural, and created the natural laws and rules that govern all life, solar systems, galaxies, and the universe He created. He must also exist beyond this natural universe. God must exist eternally, outside of this created universe and within His created universe. Otherwise, He cannot be God. Yet, our supernatural God is God.
2 Timothy 3:1-5
“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.”
Those That Reject Our Supernatural God “from such turn away.”
As I mentioned, many religious leaders – of even mainstream religions have stopped believing in the supernatural nature of everything beyond nature within the Bible. Some even question whether there is a heaven or hell. Other only question miracles, stating a virgin berth is impossible. The Noahic flood couldn’t have happened. No one can be brought back to life after several days of being dead. No one can confound people’s languages so that they cannot understand the people they understood yesterday. These examples are just the tip of the iceberg. Many other supernatural events occurred in the Bible, like the parting of the Red Sea. Inexplicable events that require Our Supernatural God. So, if a supernatural God is absolutely required, why do they “denying the power thereof:”?
Our Supernatural God is Necessary
We as humans are hard wired to believe in the supernatural and have to actually teach ourselves to Not Believe. Since we are built or designed to believe in the supernatural, we should embrace the supernatural nature of God and His crowning creation humanity. God specifically designed us to be different from all other creatures in the natural world. We have a supernatural component – a soul. Genesis 2:7 says, “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.” This is only possible with Our Supernatural God.
Our Supernatural God and Immortal Soul
We, or at least our souls, are eternal. We will exist after the death of our bodies. We’ll exist in perfect peace and joy in heaven or in eternal pain and punishment in the Lake of Fire. “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” The Book of Life or Lambs Book of Life is a list of those that have accepted Christ as Lord and Savior. If you’re not listed in that book, you burn. But many – including the Pope say that there is no hell. Well, God’s Word, as written within the Bible, clearly disagrees. Our souls are immortal, just like God, because he designed us that way. We are far from being a god but have an immortal soul like God. Know where your soul will end up.
How can we know where our soul will end up?
That is very clearly defined within the New Testament. Read John 3:16, Romans 3:23, Romans 5:8, and Romans 10:9. Then, if you believe these scriptures to be true, and you accept God’s free gift of grace, pray a simple prayer like this:
Lord, I confess that I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus died for me, and on the third day after his death, he rose from the dead and is alive today. Please forgive my sins and accept me into your kingdom. I accept your free gift of grace, through my faith in you. Amen!
If you have prayed this prayer and believe that our supernatural God is exactly who He says he is, you are saved. Saved from the worry of where you’ll end up. You know you will enter heaven. You have an eternal promise from God that you will enter heaven and starting right now, you will have an eternal relationship with our creator. All this because of Our Supernatural God. We owe everything to Him so honoring Him by believing doesn’t seem like too much to ask.
Turn and run away from those religious leaders that would question the supernatural nature of God and the supernatural reality of our immortal souls.
